Meet Sabrina Black
This is My Story
Rev. Dr. Sabrina Black, a woman after God’s own heart is a counselor, speaker, author, professor, mentor, life coach, missionary and Bible scholar.
She is the Clinical Director of Abundant Life Counseling Center in Detroit, Michigan a mental health facility which emphasizes spiritual values. Sabrina has provided hope, help and healing for individuals, families and groups for over 25 years. Dr. Black has served as expert talent on several video-based training projects with AACC including the new: Race and Reconciliation, Grief and Loss, and Domestic Violence. Many people also know her from her work with the highly acclaimed DivorceCare and GriefShare video-based training program.
Dr. Black is the founder of Global Projects for Hope, Help and Healing a non-profit 501c3 Missions Agency that has served on 5 of the 7 continents. Sabrina is a global humanitarian and a modern day abolitionist in the fight against Human Trafficking. Through her work over the past three decades in over 98 countries around the world she has touched and transformed lives with the Word of God and counseling resources; providing victim services, crisis counseling and trauma training as well as intervention. She is also an ambassador in partnership with Compassion International (a child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate caring people with those suffering from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty).
Dr. Black is president of the National Biblical Counselors Association, Past President of BAACC and a founding member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is the author of over 10 books and workbooks including, “Live Right Now.”
A national and international speaker for conferences, retreats and workshops, Sabrina’s dynamic message of life’s struggles, temptations and triumphs, challenges others to deal with the real issues of Christian living. She is passionate about glorifying God, amplifying His Word, and edifying His people. Sabrina is an advocate for the lost, and a living testimony for those who desire to achieve the abundant life and fulfill their Kingdom destiny. She calls forth greatness in others.
Sabrina has been married 32 years to Warren Jose’ Black; they have one son and four grandchildren. She loves movies, board games, musical theater, books, adventure, travel and helping others.
